BELIEFS

We believe that humans thrive in nature and require a connection to the physical world. We believe that a healthy home includes natural elements that possess spiritual and functional value. We believe that humanity is connected through generations and community. Nordlanda was founded to connect these ideas.

VALUES

Sustainable Materials

We use natural and sustainable materials. We believe this is the only path forward and strive to continually reduce our negative impact on the environment. We are also involved in several local initiatives to plant hardwood trees.

Elevated Design

A modern fusion of Scandinavian aesthetics, American craftsmanship and Japanese minimalism creates a unique but familiar collection of heirloom quality furniture. We pay attention to the details to make our products beautiful, durable and useful.

Made in the USA

We believe that quality craftsmanship has a home in America. We believe that working domestically reduces our carbon footprint and provides meaningful work in our community. We guarantee our products for the lifetime of the original owner.

STORY

Inspired by nature and the generations of makers before him, Steven Lee Anderson started Nordlanda Furniture to create elevated furniture that is constructed with sustainable natural materials.

During the depths of the Covid pandemic our founder, Steven Anderson felt compelled to undertake a physical project to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with his family heritage. With the design & woodworking skills he honed in his fathers and grandfathers workshops' Steven rekindled his connection with craftsmanship and modern design. Combined with his professional background in sustainable business and a love of nature his path forward was clear and Nordlanda was born.

"The connection between nature and humanity is inextricable from our lives. We seek to honor this innate bond through our conscious business and thoughtful craftsmanship."
